Pink Hat Weekend 2009







You may remember me telling you about a group of gals I hang out with every few months. We are called the Pink Hats. Yes we do wear pink and no it's not a cancer support group....although we do support cancer research but that's not the purpose of the pink hats. We are actually associated with the Red Hat Society...have you heard of them?? When you are 50 years or older you are allowed to wear the red hat with purple and until you turn 50 you can only wear the pink and lavendar colors. Each pink or red hat group identify themselves with a hobby or activity. Our hobby is Scrapbooking!! This particular weekend we had joined together to give each other pages to go in a circle journal. Each of us chose a theme and then we all had to make two page layouts for those journals. It was soooo much fun!

We met in Seattle, Kris & I took the train up early Friday morning. It was a great and easy way to get up to Seattle. I really enjoyed my time on the train with Kris. Then we hung out at Pike place for the afternoon and we were totally blessed with sunshine!! That made it really beautiful with all the flowers fruit & veggies at the market. Gorgeous colors everywhere!! ( plus Nick and the kids met up with us briefly since he stopped at the market on his way up to see his family in Seattle too)

Cher opened up her home to us for the weekend and went all out making her house fun & special. She decorated her house in pink & lavendar even in the bathroom. It was so cool. Then we spent the weekend hanging out, eating, shopping, scrapbooking & making special secret projects for our husbands. I had a great time gals! Thanks so much for everything! Happy Scrapping!!
